                              Our Mission at Urban Healing

Urban Healing is dedicated to sourcing and offering traditionally prepared, plant-based products crafted by indigenous communities of the Brazilian Amazon.

Our work is based on direct relationships with families, artisans and community members who produce these traditional preparations. We prioritize fair compensation, transparency and long-term collaboration to support local livelihoods and cultural continuity.

We focus on authenticity of origin, respectful trade practices and responsible distribution. Every batch we offer reflects traditional preparation methods passed down through generations.

Environmental responsibility is central to our approach. We use simple paper packaging to reduce plastic waste and unnecessary materials. Our goal is to maintain product quality while minimizing environmental impact.

Our business decisions are guided by sustainability, fairness and respect for cultural heritage.

Walking in Relationship With the Forest and Its Peoples

Urban Healing operates through direct sourcing relationships with several indigenous groups of the Brazilian Amazon. Each community maintains its own cultural traditions, preparation techniques and plant knowledge.

We do not alter or industrialize traditional methods. Products are prepared locally according to established community practices and then responsibly distributed.

We view our role as logistical and commercial partners — supporting fair trade while preserving traditional craftsmanship.

Nukini

Some of our preparations are produced by members of the Nukini community in the state of Acre, Brazil. The Nukini are known for their detailed plant knowledge and community-based production methods. Preparation techniques are transmitted within families and follow long-standing cultural practices.

Yawanawá

We also work with members of the Yawanawá community along the Gregório River. Their plant-based preparations are produced within established cultural frameworks and reflect their traditional knowledge systems.

Huni Kuin (Kaxinawá)

Certain products originate from Huni Kuin families in Acre. The Huni Kuin maintain strong artisanal traditions, including plant preparation methods and forest-based resource knowledge.

Apurinã

Some preparations are sourced from Apurinã producers along the Purus River. Their production methods emphasize simplicity and careful plant selection according to community tradition.

Yanomami

We also collaborate with producers connected to Yanomami communities in the Amazon region. Their forest knowledge and preparation methods reflect long-standing cultural practices.
